Rudolf Meinl Bb Oval Euphonium

This isn’t a vintage piece, but it’s a delightful addition to my collection—a newer Rudolf Meinl large bore baritone. What sets this instrument apart is its rotary valve setup in a 3+1 configuration, which is uncommon for a 4-valve rotary euphonium. Its larger size compared to most oval euphoniums also helps with some of the typically challenging lower register notes. It’s an ideal choice for Mahler 7, and I’ve previously rented it out to the LA Phil for that specific occasion. Finished in silver plate with gold accents, it’s a truly unique and lovely instrument that you don’t come across often!
