This is a special instrument, made in the 1920s by CG Conn Elkhart. It is a replica of the famous double horn made by CF Schmidt in Berlin Germany. The Schmidt horns were some of the top professional instruments, being used for years prominently by the Chicago Symphony horn section. It features 3 rotary and 1 piston thumb valve. Conn made this model, which is pretty much an exact copy to compete for the professional horn market in the 1920s. These are quite rare to find, especially in this kind of condition and with tight valves. The original silver plating is intact with some patina. A gorgeous instrument. With case.
