This trombone is a project I built last year with my collaborator Don Sawday. It features a custom Brass Ark 8.5″ yellow brass bell, fabricated with a traditional one piece zipper seam and unsoldered rim. The valve section is from a 1920s Conn Fuchs bass trombone, closed wrap in red brass tubing, custom conn style seamed gold brass Hoelle tuning slide with a newer Conn 88H slide. This trombone has an incredibly dark and vibrant sound, it is totally unique. Very broad and satisfying to play. $3000 without case. This one went to a loving home!
