This is a neat one! This is a beautiful late 1950s Conn 72H bass trombone with a custom removable dependent 2nd valve in D. I’m not sure who did this custom work but its superb and one of the best functioning in this style I’ve seen. The 2nd valve saddle is removable with a set screw and you can replace the valved tuning slide with the original single valve F tuning slide. In very nice condition, bell engraving is super crisp, original bronze outer slide tubes and lacquer is in good condition. Overall a really beautiful vintage and versatile bass trombone. Since this is a 72H, it does have a longer slide, allowing for a low C with the F valve.
