Here’s a very rare trombone indeed! This is a 1920s Conn Elkhart Model 9H, which was the low pitch/high pitch version of the Conn 8H. Featuring a 8.5″ bell and .547″ slide but with a set of two tuning slides in different length. The bell is shorter on this model to accept the two length tuning slides. This one has just been refreshed here at The Brass Ark, fully cleaned up and working well enough for professional use. The slide action is surprisingly good with minimal conn inner tube wear. Some cosmetic dings and finish is worn in places as to be expected from honest use. Ultra vibrant bell, wow… this is very nice find. With original Conn case! Will please any Conn aficionado.
