This is a vintage Holton TR-185 single valve bass trombone, originally owned by the late Dick Erb. It has recently been totally overhauled here at The Brass Ark by Don Sawday. One new inner tube was sourced, the slide was rebuilt and the full instrument was gently buffed and relacquered. Based on the original Bach 50 design, the 185 is a follow up version to the legendary 169 bass trombone.
