Here’s a very special instrument with some serious pedigree. This is a really special instrument as its likely from the 1950s and one of the first produced double valve bass trombones. It is a German made instrument, built in Bremen, and has the hallmarks of that design: wide nickel bell kranz, snake decorations, long slide, gold brass with nickel trim. This one also has the long water key, operated by a button at the top of the slide. The horn has been used prominently by a professional in Canada who has recently retired. It takes almost a large shank mouthpiece. The triggers are custom made by Dan Oberloh and they are beautiful and work remarkably well! Valves are in F and Eb. This one is about as cool as they come. Includes the original case (with cork padding by Ted Griffiths the famous trombone mute maker)
