Shires Artist Bass Trombone “George Curran”

This is the signature artist model “George Curran” bass trombone, made by Shires, It has a GC 9.5″ yellow brass bell ( two-piece, hand-hammered, custom-annealed “BII” taper in standard weight yellow brass with traditionally brazed seam and soldered bead), inline axial valves in Bb/F/Gb/D, B6278 slide and 1 leadpipe. In very nice lightly used condition with a few minor cosmetic blems but otherwise looking great. The valves were recently worked on by Dan Oberloh and might be some of the best feeling thayer valves I’ve had in the shop in a long time! Sold without case.
