Another from my collection, this is a Bach 42 T assembled by The Brasslab in NYC. A really fabulous playing Bach, this one has a Corporation bell from the 1970s and a custom valve section made by Chuck McAlexander in 1995 featuring a stainless casing OE Thayer, handbent wrap, custom thumb lever and sterling silver neckpipe. The slide is a standard Bach 42 yellow brass slide with removable press fit leadpipe. This is a serious orchestral tenor trombone and can handle a ton of volume. It plays very focused with a dense core that really projects well, especially in larger dull sounding halls this trombone has serious presence. I have a Bach bell brace soldered between the bell and the valve section currently, which means that you can’t take the thayer apart easily. Happy to remove this for the next owner if so desired.
