Here’s something I’ve never seen before… a Vincent Bach trombone with a 2 piece bell! Yes you read that right… this is a Bach New York model 16 trombone with a cross brazed flare 2 piece bell, similar to what Conn was making in the early 1930s. I’ve never seen another one so obviously this was a very special order and as such has some really unique characteristics. If you’re a Conn player and have always wanted to play a Bach… then this trombone is for you!!! (Believe me I’m trying really hard to not keep this one here in the Brass Ark museum but its a heck of a player!) The nickel slide seems to be mostly all original but the top oversleeve looks to have been shortened at some point.
