Vincent Bach New York Model 50B Gold Brass

Price: Sale Pending

This original Bach Model 50B from New York is undoubtedly one of the rarest bass trombones. It is from the early 1950s, from the coveted 3xxx serial number with matching numbers on both the bell and slide, indicating its creation during the prime years of the Bronx, NY factory before the move to Mt Vernon. It underwent relacquering at some point using golden lacquer, which can be a bit deceiving in appearance, a small amount of lacquer wear on the bell confirms its very rare gold brass bell flare. This model features a one piece 9.5″ bell with a French bead and a wide .562″ gold brass slide with a yellow crook. It includes the original German-made rotary valve and trigger. The instrument comes with a restored Bach New York case, completing this unique opportunity to own an all-original Bach New York bass trombone—one of the most sought-after and imitated bass trombones in history.
