This one is quite rare, being an original New York Bach model 8ii, made in the early 1940s. It has a few interesting features, most notably the nickel silver neckpipe, gold brass outer slide tubes and a beautiful french bead 7″ yellow brass bell. The model 8 was very popular back in the day, being a .490″ straight bore slide, it plays much grander than its small size would suggest. This one is in really beautiful condition. The top slide sleeve looks to have been shortened at some point and the instrument was likely relacquered during its lifespan. There are a few lacquer spots missing on the outer slide tubes from some errant packing tape that was removed. The original NY case is included and has lots of vibe and character with some old school sticker and in good shape. This one is a real treasure!
