Here is a pre-Eastman SE Shires trombone with a .525″ medium bore. It features a 1yM8 8″ yellow brass bell, a Shires trubore valve, and a TW25LW slide made of wide yellow brass. While the instrument has been used and shows some lacquer wear and mild pitting on the slide from hand contact, as well as worn lacquer on the neckpipe and valve casing, it remains a really nice playing, versatile instrument. It’s equally comfortable in an orchestral setting, pit, or commercial gig. The modular bell design allows you to change bell flares or add a straight neckpipe for enhanced versatility (please note that these additional pieces are not included).
